These doodles have a bit of me—a reflection of my teenage years in Mexico, where I'd make posters and album covers for my punk band and others in the local scene. Those were my first steps into graphic design, creating bold and powerful images with the simple constraint of one ink on white paper.
The essence of those days has never left me. It's still here, in the raw and brash style of many projects I've touched, like Transhumans. Inspired by 80s sci-fi movies, kawaii art, minimalist Japanese illustrations, and of course, the weird but intriguing concept of transhumanism.
I tend to use bold brush strokes drawn quickly, and imperfect, in stark black and white. Maybe this style is an extension of my personality, or perhaps their imperfection is a testament to my laziness, lol.
Transhumans is a journey back to my roots, a celebration of imperfection, and a tribute to the punk rock spirit that ignited my passion for art and design. It's a reminder that limitations can be transcended, not just in art but in life, and that our imperfections are what make us uniquely beautiful.
